Kim and I just recently got new glasses. First glasses ever for me, and new for Kim because her previous ones broke. Don’t we look so smart and intellectual?

I’m still trying to get used to the whole glasses thing. I only need to wear them when I’m driving or looking at something far away, and they kind of trip me out when I wear them for up close stuff. I suppose I’ll eventually get used to them, and I expect won’t remember how I ever lived without them. Someday anyway, but not today.

Pictures from Canada Trip

I am a little late in posting this, but I spent the months of February and March working in Ottawa Canada. Kim came up during Spring Break, and we had a blast. Here are some pictures of the trip.

Impulse Purchase

Kim and I went to the Fort Worth Art Festival on Saturday, and it was pretty fun. I’ve been to a few art festivals in my day, and this one really seemed to have a lot of interesting stuff. Most every booth had things that were really unique, that you couldn’t just find anywhere. Now I never thought I would ever really buy something at one of these art fairs, mostly for two reasons:

  1. While the stuff is interesting and unique, it is also usually kind of weird, and you have no idea where to put it in the house.
  2. It’s usually too freaking expensive, and I’m kind of a cheapskate.

Thus you can imagine my surprise when I became enamored with some vases this guy was selling. I think I’m crazy, Kim thinks I’m crazy, and you probably think I’m crazy too, but I thought it was a really cool vase, and it totally goes with our house, so I bought it. For 65 bucks. Here’s a picture of it; you decide if I really am crazy. You have to admit though, it is a pretty darn cool vase.

(This picture makes the bottom look darker than it really is. It is actually closer to the color at the top.)
